"I saw this shoe online..." How to Help E-Browsers

It can often be a struggle to track down product that customers have seen on the web; they rarely know the vital information that you need to effectively search for the product -colour code especially. To navigate this issue with ease, have them find the style on the New Balance website (either on their own computer or smartphone if you're speaking to them on the phone, or on a workstation in the store). From there you should be able to get the complete style code so that you can search for inventory in our stores or on the B2B. Want to know how? Follow the simple steps below:

On a Desktop Computer

This is a simple process, although a little picky based on when it will work...

In order for this to work, you must be on one of the main navigation pages that shows the featured products of a given category. In this case, we're navigating to Women > Lifestyle. While on any of the main navigation pages, you can hover your mouse over the style you like and the Model + Colour code will appear on your screen. Hovering over the colour combo you prefer will give you the exact code you're looking for - just ask your customer to read you the contents of the text box that appears.  *NOTE: If you have already clicked on the shoe you like to "Expand" that style, this approach will no longer work, but you can still use the next method to find your code...

On A Smart Phone

This process can actually be used on any device, including a desktop.

After "Expanding" the particular style you're looking at, select your preferred colour combination and a size/width and then select "Add" (any size or width will do, it DOES NOT have to be YOUR size and width). This will automatically take you to the Checkout page where you will be able to see the exact style code you're looking for. On your smart phone, it should appear right in the middle of the screen...

On a desktop computer, it will be off closer to the lower right corner...

Customers may stumble across styles they like on websites other than the New Balance website (blogs, magazines, social media, etc.) and this can make finding a style code all the more difficult. However, you should still direct customers to attempt to find the style on Ultimately, if the style can't be found there, it is not likely that we will be able to order it.
